Pregnancy: week 16

Almost fishing...

Today, we went fishing. We caught nothing and came home exhausted, but we just had fun hanging out together and trying to fish. We went to a local tackle shop and bought some worms to bait the fish (it wasn't effective at all) and the kids loved the worms. Peanut kept saying how her worm was happy. She would alternate holding it and putting it back in it's little holder (they each had a holder for their worms). Bug had to have 2 worms so, of course, so did Peanut. I guess it's a good thing she has Bug for an older brother because she's not scared of anything! Anything he'll do, she will copy.

Underwater Adventures!

My husband, the infamous workaholic, took a Friday afternoon and Saturday off. Yes, a Friday and a Saturday. They is typically his biggest day of the week and he took them off. Okay, so it was a very slow weekend, but still, I was very impressed. This afternoon we went to our local aquarium and had a grand time! There's just something about the underwater sphere that is so facinating.

The Netherlands Champions...

These are for you, Oma and Opa! A customer of ours gave this hat to my hubby and he brought it home just for the kids. Bug loved and wanted to wear it every where. I wasn't so impressed with that idea. We did carry it around in the car for a few days then it just kind of got lost. Hmmm. Peanut didn't like it at all until Bug was enthralled at which point she decided that she had to have the hat, too.

The girls are home sick...

One girl is hurling while the other has the runs. And the boys are at church. Life is not too fun at our home right now. But the quiet is kind of nice. And I get to snuggle my Peanut in bed for the whole morning. Okay, life is actually pretty good.

Who lives here, anyway?

Have you ever looked at your home and thought to yourself how terrible the housekeeper is? Truly, it looks like the housekeeper should be fired and replaced immediately. What kind of slob would dare even set foot inside this chaos? Furthermore, how come no one is taking the effort needed to get it on track?

Well, lately, I've been the messy in my abode. And I keep thinking I'm going to take photos of it just to prove it to those of you who think (wrongly) that I'm perfectly neat and tidy all of the time. And it's not just messy. It's atrocious. Maybe I'll invite someone over just so I have to clean my toilets.

Happy Birthday to me!

While I don't normally get such grandiose gift for my birthday, my film camera broke and we needed a camera for the bakery so I got this! Yippee! It's just what I wanted and I'm thrilled to have it!

Happy Birthdays...

We have 6 April birthdays in our family just on my side! The kids celebrated their birthdays on their proper day, on my day, on my Dad's day, and on the other sibling's day. They love birthdays.
